We just traveled to the Atelier and their wristbands were corded bracelets that had the hotel key chip attached to the bracelets. It was super convenient. Just wondering if the Iberostar Lindo or Maya have upgraded their wristbands in the last few years (haven't been since 2021). Anyone there now that can show me what they look like?

Yes, super convenient. Wristband with tiny key card in them. Dream come true for someone who loses things (me) or hates to have to carry anything but a cocktail (me).

If it's between the Lindo and Maya, I personally would not pay much more since they share all but a couple restaurants.
As of now, they have dropped the need for reservations for all but the Hibachi and the steak house restaurants, so the Del Mar and Beach only have limited reservations for those two. You can eat at other a la cartes as much as you want.
No limits on those reservations for Lindo or Maya.
Also, when are you going? Buffets and lobby at Del Mar and Beach are not air conditioned. If going in the summer, choose Lindo or Maya.
Activities are pretty much the same throughout the resorts.
Joia (Grand), Selection Maya, and Selection Lindo are all using keys built into the wristbands.
Waves Del Mar and Waves Beach resorts are still using key cards for room access. They still have color wristbands, but they do not contain RFID chips to open the door. I suspect that will be upgraded at some point, because the cards are unreliable.
