Beach seaweed at iberostar paraiso lindo

Last year we went in July and r here was a LOT of sea weed on beach and in water. Is the situation the same this summer? The beach seemed to be cleaned every day to try to remove as much as possible but there was still a lot. Planning on going early July.

Seaweed problem is continuing and will get worse in the mainland. If you are looking for seaweed free beaches, look into going to one of MX islands; Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, or Isla Holbox.

It varies day to day. Some days are perfectly clear and the next day there could be a lot of sargassum.

Sargassum is from April to September sometimes carries over to October. PDC always seems to be the worst. We were in hotel zone last June and although some was coming in there were always spots to enter the water. Lots of people in the water. We rented a car and went to PDC and it was fairly bad. Although there were a few open spots we saw.

This is an older post but hopefully helps someone
