Weekend in Broadstairs with a Dog

Am coming to Broadstairs with a dog for Easter Hols and wanted to know if there are any events happening in the area suitable for Dogs?

Also, are there any good pubs to visit? Any Live band type pubs?

Also any weekly pub quiz's?

Are the beaches dog friendly?;

Any information would be a great help. Thanks in advance

Hi there, dogs are allowed on the beaches in the off-season so you will be fine coming at Easter. (The dog ban is from 1st May-30th September, exception is Dumpton Gap where dogs are allowed all year round). There were plenty of dog walkers on the beach at the weekend just gone. Here is the district's beach guide for Broadstairs:

There are plenty of live band pubs in the town centre, Dolphin, Wrotham Arms, Neptunes Hall etc. There are also some micropubs which are now plentiful in this area. Can't help with pub quizzes but am sure the pub websites might give you some indication. Some pub reviews here:

Again, can't help with dog events but the district's event calender is here for you to browse:

Hi, just wondered if you found many dog-friendly places to go in the area?

We're staying by Dumpton Gap beach next month and it would be great if you could advise of any other places we could go with our furry baby!

The Visit Thanet website now has a link to a beach guide for dog owners:

thanet.gov.uk/info-pages/…

And a list of dog-friendly restaurants & bars:

There are also all the parks and the miles of promenades and clifftop lawns all around the Thanet coast.]

Slightly further afield, you have Reculver Country Park which offers some of the best walks in the area with great views, and beyond here Herne Bay and Whitstable where the majority of beaches have no dog restrictions apart from those in the link below:

There are woodland walks at both Clowes Wood and Thornden Wood just south of Herne Bay/Whitstable
