It might be okay?. Does it have lots of wild birds nearby? We like other wild animals as well. But my son loves wild birds.

the RPB is nearer Llandudno Junction than Conwy it's on the river opposite Conwy. There is a charge for non RSPB members.

Try this

https:/…

Look up Morfa Aber too

And Nant y Coed

At Llanfairfechan there is a bird sanctuary .

It’s a great place for a walk along the shores of the Menai

There is ample parking a couple of seaside cafes and a level tarmac path most of the way

You would have to walk about a mile or so to the bird sanctuary

Every year a pair of swans nest on the pond about 200 yards from the car park

And in Spring the stream running to the beach is full of ducklings

It’s an easy run from Rhyl

A bit closer to Rhyl

You will find the River Elwy

Head to Abergele then to Llanwrst and at Llanair TH there is access to the river .

I fish the Elwy regularly and see more birds than I do fish LOL

I have see dippers , wagtails , occasionally the bright blue flash of a kingfisher , herons and cormorants ( which are quite common on the coast near Rhyl or Llandullas)

Mallards and large white birds I think are merganzas

There are other access points from the raid near St Asaph if you look at the map

It’s a beautiful area anyway

If you head out that way your son might be interested to see one of the oldest trees on the planet , the churchyard is in the banks of the Elwy where it is not much more than a stream , very peaceful and I would suggest plenty of bird life

A nice run from there onto Llanwrst in open countryside

As it happens I went to Llanfairfechan today so I paid particular attention to the sign about the bird sanctuary.

You can expect to see Oystercatchers, Shell Ducks a couple of varieties of Grebe and ringed plovers

The tide was well out with vast expanses of sand. I noticed a white long necked bird very much like an egret patrolling the large puddles on the sand .

The cygnets were quite grown too as you would expect
