Hi Greg - welcome to the forum. :) What package have you booked? There seems to be several different options. While having a bit of a check around for info for you I came across the Facebook Group for Shangri-la and I have to share that it has some great info (and very current too) of what's on offer, tips for staying there and up to the minute advice on all things covid related for the resort.

https://www.facebook.com/ShangriLaFiji/

One post in particular really stood out to me. Apparently every afternoon between 5 - 6pm guests staying in the Reef Wing receive free cocktails and this as well -

Lucky you!

One thing you may not be aware of is the Ecotrax tour - it's extremely popular with limited numbers only per day so if interested it's probably wise to book before you go -

https://www.ecotrax.com.fj/

It's not far from the resort but not really 'walkable' given Fijian roads and the heat - a taxi will be very reasonable there and back.

Another tour that was recommended is a jetski safari that stops at Natadola beach (big, sweeping ocean beach renown as the 'best beach on the main island of Viti Levu). People that have been on it report having dolphins jumping out of the water near the ski's. (Book through the Sport Center there).

Loads of things to do on the Coral Coast. Enjoy your holiday and hopefully you'll get the answer you want regarding the meal plan/s but ... somehow I don't think you'll be going hungry. :)

Just in case you do get hungry (or want a change of pace) and for others that might read this thread and be interested Gecko's Resort is close by (CCF Certified). Cross bridge, pass the info center (good tours and activities available to be booked through there) turn left at Queens Road and it's there on the right.

They also have a poolside fire dance - enquire directly with them to book if interested.

For soft-drinks, water and snacks there's a store in the nearby village or head into Sigatoka for a look around and a shop (although that may not be such a great idea during these covid times) - staying close to the resort and doing organised tours seems a safer bet overall.

I think the starting point for the Eco trax journey is at the station just across the causeway for the entrance to the Shangri La resort. according to their website.

"The Station itself is located in Cuvu, a series of villages all found on the Cuvu Back Road which intersects with the entrance to the Shangri-La Fijian Resort.

We are located in the historical FSC Loco Shed, built over 100 years ago."

We just walked down their road from the resort when we did the sugar train ride not that far. I don't think you will need a taxi to get there.

By all means walk to Ecotrax as suggested above if walking for 40 minutes along 3.3km of dusty backroads with no footpaths in the heat appeals. Otherwise use a CCF taxi, at a cost of around FJ$7.50 each way, or other mode of transport there and back.

Unless another posters particularly wants to get personal about it I've found it's best to ignore the occasional grammatical or spelling typo.

If we could possibly stay on topic with posts relating to the thread that would be great.
