Hi Jeremy ,

Yes you can request a car seat beforehand with any of the following and you might want to compare prices

https://www.nadiairporttaxis.com/

https://bulataxi.com/ (Epic tours and transfers)

https://coastalrentalcars.com.fj/service/

https://www.tewaka.com.fj/

https://uniquelyfijitransfers.com/

https://www.micksfijitours.com/

Don't forget the taxis only take cash but you can get some local currency at the Currency Exchange at theNadi arrival Hall. It is open to all incoming flights.

As they don't keep a lot of change it would be advisable to ask for some small denomination notes also.

Hope this helps

Welcome back to the forum Jeremy.

Car seats for children aren't required in Fiji, but as mentioned, you can request and reserve a car/booster seat for your child when booking with one of the above companies. There is a small fee, usually around 10FJD-15FJD in additional to the cost for transporation.

Even though you are arriving Nadi in the evening, ask your driver to stop at a market on the way to Denarau for snacks, sodas, bottled water, or other items you might want. He will know, if any are open that time of night, and stop if asked. It will be cheaper than purchasing them at your resort, or at Yee's Xpressmart at. Denarau.

Have a wonderful holiday at Denarau and Castaway, and enjoy your countdown until you arrive in paradise.

Arriving at 7:00pm you maybe a little late for the major supermarkets along the way.

The cheapest main supermarket close to the airport is R B Patel Jetpoint supermarket on Queens Road Matintar

Opening Hours are

Sunday 8 am–4 pm

Monday 8:30 am–8 pm

Tuesday 8:30 am–8 pm

Wednesday 8:30 am–8 pm

Thursday 8:30 am–8 pm

Friday 8 am–8:30 pm

Saturday 8 am–8:30 pm

If yo do miss out I would suggest you check out Yees Yee's Xpressmart at. Port Denarau. They are very close to the South Seas cruises check in counter and open around 8:00am which should give you enough time before boarding the transfer boat. Sunscreen, snacks, drinks etc will be a lot dearer on the island.

If you exit the airport too late to shop at RB Patel Jetpoint, ask you driver about stopping at Consumers Supermarket. It is open daily till 9:00p.m. If all else fails, you can certainly pick up supplies at Yee's at Denarau though it will be more expensive.

Opening Hours :

Monday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Thursday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Friday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Saturday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Sunday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM

Always good to have options and with the later closing maybe an option.

I must have past Consumers Supermarket on my many trips to Denarau but never saw it. Always used R B Patels except for the odd items in Yee's Xpressmart at the port.

How were the prices when you shopped there compared to R B Patels and Yees
