Perhaps someone from the area will take note of particular places and report. But I can't imagine you will have any trouble seeing cotton fields. They are currently blooming. They will stand out some as about the only green fields, due to the sorghum and corn having been harvested and plowed. You may have to get a bit off the main highways. Ask anyone in a rural area. Begin asking before you get near heavily developed Corpus.

You can take several routes to see cotton fields as you near the city.

The area between Sinton and Gregory will be the best fields of cotton, along US Hwy. 181. Leave US 77 at Sinton and follow US181 South. It's a stretch of about 15 miles with the city of Taft (drive the speed limit, 30 mph) in between.

You could also travel from Refugio through Bayside to Gregory. Take 774 to 2678 to 136. Maybe a bit more scenic and a bit quicker. Our preferred route. Less traffic as well.
