Alexander's next to Little Wasters near hotel Santana. Rates are well dodgy though no matter where you go. Cheers Tory party and there lousing up brexit!

If you haven’t travelled yet you will probably be better off changing some money before you go.

The pound is really struggling at the moment with the fear of a no deal Brexit, with the exchange rate down to around 1.11pounds to a Euro.

If you are exchanging cash then you should be looking at a rate of between 1.08-1.09. I have a travel friendly credit card for when I spend abroad, it allows we to spend on the rate of the day rather than the reduced rate you get when you exchange cash, worth considering if you travel abroad regularly.

Go to the UK post office and get a top up card. You can do it there and then. Download the app as well. You can then load the card with e.g. £500 on the card as currency type €. Benefits are they act like a debit card. You can use them in most restaurants and shops. If you get low you can just top up your card. You don’t have to carry hard cash. If you lose your card they will replace in 48 hours. We used it for the first time in Spain this year and loved it. So simple and so safe.

If you want to change money whilst in Malta then Alexander`s in Bugibba gives as good a rate as anyone else .

They charge no commission or fees,

Another possibility in Bugibba is Mary`s shop called Melody which is by the mini roundabout by the San Antonio Hotel near the bus station.

Mary has a good reputation also.

She also organises some good cheap tours,

Got to be honest mate there is no great difference so pointless wandering about trying to locate a "great deal" you will probably spend more in boot leather than what you will gain from any difference. Indeed as one esteemed poster on here once said "unless you are buying a villa for cash then it's all the same"...

Just don't use those yellow and blue cash machines unless it's life or death! If Dick Turpin were a terminal, then he'd be one of them!
