Hi Salemshaikh

The English name of our country is Switzerland.

I would warmly recommend you study the Top Questions about Switzerland (Switzerland forum on the TA website) before you continue to plan.

There are to many options of places and areas you could visit to be listed here. Please look at your travel guide and/or http://www.myswitzerland.com where you would like to go.

Spiez is a very nice town sitting on lake Thun - http://spiez.ch/de/gemeinde/tourismus-freizeit/index.php (use your translation program if needed) -. There are more places around lake Thun which are very nice - http://www.thunersee.ch/en/home.html -. All are fine for excursions within the Bernese Oberland area.

There is no central point for trips all around Switzerland. This is not terrible as there is so much to see at the Oberland area, see

http://www.jungfrauregion.swiss http://www.haslital.cwiss https://www.gstaad.ch/ http://www.brienzersee.ch/en/home.html etc. -.

I hope this helps

Spiez is something of a rail "hub" and so does make a reasonable base to see places in the Berner Oberland and even in the Valais - it is only 20mns from Visp for example. It has a nice castle, very pretty harbour. the only negative I can think of is that the station in Spiez is up on the hill and most of the hotels are down near the lake.

Another option would be Thun, 10 mns from Spiez and a very pretty town on the Aar river - just as it comes out of lake Thun.

Personally I prefer the north side of lake Thun - because of the stunning views of the lake and then the mountains. But it is not all that great as a base for travel unless you are willing to tack on a 20-30mins bus ride to either Interlaken or Thun to get anywhere else.
