Traveling from Cleveland to Pitts. The first of two very high bridges was simply marked "beaver falls." On I-76 what is the height of the bridge of the water. I have a bet with a friend that it is over 300 feet.
Thank you, Gregg Moore

Sorry, you lost the bet, it is only 170 feet high.
Quoting from the turnpike website:
http://www.paturnpike.com/newsletters/summer97/page2-3.htm
"While the Delaware River Bridge is the Turnpike's longest, the highest river bridge can be found in western Pennsylvania where the Beaver River Bridge, just east of the Beaver Valley Exit(#2) towers 170 feet above the Beaver River. However, the Hawk Falls Bridge along the Northeastern Extension just south of the Pocono Exit(#35),is the Turnpike's highest bridge at 190 feet, although it does not cross a river. Since the Hawk Falls Bridge is the Turnpike's highest, it was selected for inclusion on a special shoulder patch."
The article is a little out of date, because the turnpike exit numbers are the old ones from before they went to mile marker exit numbers. Also, there is another spur of the turnpike being built that does/will have the highest bridge, but the info for your bet is still accurate.
Thank You,
Good thing it was just a gentlemans bet.
