Traveling from Mana Island Resort to Paradise Cove Resort

Hello!!

We are having a hard time finding travel from one island to the next.

We are looking for a boat to take us from Mana Island Resort to Naukacuvu Island (Paradise Cove Resort) one-way on November 23rd. Two passengers.

Can you advise who offers this service & how much it would be?

We cant afford taking a sea plane. :(

Thank you.

Ann

If you log on to http://www.paradisecoveresort.com.fj you will see the various means of transportation to the island. You could catch a water taxi from Mana but this would prove to be very expensive. It would appear that your best option is to return to Denarau from Mana on the Tiger 4, which arrives about noon, grab a cab to Vuda Marina and catch the resort's boat to the island which leaves at 2 p.m.

Hi Ann, sorry to tell you that nothing has changed since the last time you asked about this earlier this year. There is currently no competition for the operating ferries which service these island groups (Mamanucas and Yasawas) which leaves people wanting to stay in both areas with limited options.

Head back to Denarau on SSC

http://www.ssc.com.fj/island-resort-connection/#1278

and stay somewhere close overnight before catching the Yasawa Flyer the next morning

http://www.awesomefiji.com/FerryTimetable.aspx

or you can head back to Denarau early and try to arrange a transfer to Paradise Cove via their own boat but the afternoon service is not guaranteed, it is based on customer demand on that day (see their website for more info). This would also involve a taxi transfer to Vuda Marina where their boat leaves from, approx 45 minutes away.

Or fly via seaplane (best option but obviously more dollars involved). Paradise Cove could arrange this for you, probably cheaper than you could book for yourselves.

One last option - ask Mana to arrange a transfer from Mana to either Beachcomber or South Sea island and book to get on the Yasawa Flyer from there (it would need to be an early morning transfer (see Yasawa Flyer schedule).

Lots or people come unstuck on this one, good luck sorting out the option that works best for you.

Hello!!! Thank you!

Its SUPER tough to figure this out! Ughhh..lol

I think we will go w the below.....just received this quote from awesomefiji.com....

Mana to Beachcomber =$65 per person x 2 =$130 and Beachcomber to Paradise Cove -$135 per person x 2 =$270.

I think it means NZ money..not sure lol. It would be about 164 US each...

Now I have to find the times out. :)

Thanks for your options!!!

Have a good night!

Check with Awesome Adventures as to what currency they have quoted. In my experience they quote in the currency of the country that the query comes from - i.e if query is from US then quote is US$. But that may have changed so worth checking.

As for the Octopus/Paradise Cove boat, they do run 2 trips a day if the resorts are close to full, but if it's a quiet time then only the 9am boat will go. So you could check with their booking office closer to the time as to whether they are busy or not.
