Does anybody know i can easily get to nyc from Ramada Wayne by taxi? I have never been and I need to make this trip with 2 suitcase plus a wheelchair user. Does uber operate in nj?
Is the primary purpose of your stay to visit NYC? If so that's a terrible choice of location. Wayne is not particularly close to NYC as far as tourists are concerned. Expect to pay $100 each way.
I would ask your hotel for a car service recommendation and prebook - your needs are not suitable to the typical Uber car. Yes, Uber/Lyft operates in NJ but Wayne is not a very dense locale for their services, you may have to wait a while for a car - especially if you need one large enough for your stuff and the wheelchair.
There's a direct train service to NYC from Montclair, which is not far from Wayne, which could keep your costs down.
Hi, I have a wedding in nj on the 27th July at the tides estate and will be travelling back to the Ramada Wayne Fairfield later evening. I just got quotes 115 usd for the trip into manhatten. Thanks for the suggestion of the train I wasn’t aware, hopefully it will be accessible as I’ll need to push a wheelchair as well as struggle with 2 suitcases.
The station at Montclair State University is high-platform accessible for wheelchairs. NY Penn Station has elevators from platform to concourse.
Thanks a lot. This really helped. I just need to decide if it’s worth battling the commute with luggage an wheelchair. I’ll research cost of the train fare and decide.
