Where to stay near Chico Hot Sprngs if sold out?Dogsledding!

Help? Had been looking forward to a dog sled outing

from Chico Hot Springs, but find Chico entirely sold out for when we were interested.

Who knows....something may later open up,

and I'll keep trying. However, is there any other

nice or atmospheric inn in the vicinity, where we could stay, and still make it to an early morning

dog sledding outing like this? (w/out too far a drive)

Sorry but am unfamiliar w/the area!

Thanks so much. :-)

HI! I have posted on here before about a great place where we have stayed in the past very near Chico Hot Springs. We live in Minnesota and drive out to the Paradise Valley/Yellowstone area a couple of times a year it seems. One of our favorite places to stay (we've stayed at a variety of places in the area including vacation homes, inns, B and B's, hotels, etc.) has been at a vacation home on the Yellowstone River near Chico. The home is right on the water and has lots of great amenities like a hot tub, etc. The name of it is Yellowstone Lookout. We have also stayed at a B and B near Chico and I can't recall the exact name right now....but you might want to do a google search for options. We actually did that Chico dog sled ride one winter and loved it. The vacation home I mentioned above is quite near the place where the dog sled adventure we were on took off from.

Thanks so much! I may email you...

but in case you see this again,

which tour did you take?

The half day or full day dog sled outing?

Appreciate so much the recommendation.

Have you ever stayed at Chico Hot Springs itself?

How do you compare it to this other inn, as far as

overall feel?

Do you still eat out at Chico...is it close enough?

Also, you mention the dog-sledding going from nearby.

Do you still have to meet up w/everyone at Chico?

I'll look into it, and have to hope they are okay with a one-night stay. (the caveat which might be difficult at a private home) :-] Thanks so much!! :-)

Just adding here in case you don't check

your personal messages here...

Here are some other places I found mentioned.

Perhaps you've stayed at some?

The one you mentioned appears to have a 3 night minimum w/two nights the bare minimum. (and only last minute)

So...alas, no luck there! :-\

I've also seen listed, but little on:

Paradise Gateway Bed & Breakfast

Johnstad's Bed & Breakfast & Log Cabin

Emigrant Creek Cabin

Here's a link to it: http://www.emigrantcreekcabin.com/area.html

Any chance you've tried any of these?

Thanks again!!
