Road trip stop

My family is driving from Atlanta to Clearwater -- Valdosta is about halfway. Anywhere you'd recommend to get out, walk a bit, and eat a good breakfast on a weekday? Thanks!!

Not a real fun town. The college area is walkable.

The Windsor hotel in Americus is very special.. A truly unique and great place. Great restaurant and bar there too. Walkable area.

A little closer to I75, the Lake Blackshear resort has nice grounds and a good restaurant/bar. Listed near Cordele, Ga.

rjacka3, all she wants is a breakfast stop and she's not going to Americus or Lake Blackshear and a "great restaurant and bar" for that.

Sara, I suggest you check the restaurant listings on the Valdosta TA page and see what you like. You can narrow the categories down and select "breakfast".

You must be leaving real early to go for breakfast in Valdosta. We normally stop there for lunch :-) and generally at Wendy's at exit 18 for a quick bite. Stevedec's suggestion may turn up better places.

Try the Farm House Restaurant. It's a couple of miles south of Valdosta before you get to the Fla. Line. It's right off I-75 beside the old outlet mall.
