We are making our first trip with our kids and grandkids to Disney World next month. I was referred to a travel agent by a friend and she has been invaluable in planning this trip. I was so overwhelmed when I first looked into what all is involved. We have never used a travel agent, so I'm wondering if it is customary to give them a tip after the conclusion of your trip. Let me first say that I made an up-front deal with her when planning the trip to allow her to book and get the commission on our AAA rated rooms (2 suites and 1 room at the Hilton Buena Vista in Disney Springs) and then purchase the 5 day tickets through her instead of AAA. In exchange she agreed to give me the difference in increased cost to me for the tickets in the form of gift cards. This trip turned out way more expensive than we ever dreamed, so every little bit helps. Anyway, she really has been great and since we have never used a travel agent I have no idea what is normal practice as far as tipping. If you do tip, then how much? Thank you for your advice!
