Savaii Lagoon Resort or Le Lagoto?

Hi. My husband and I are visiting Samoa for the first time late October/early November. First overseas trip in over three years due to Covid. We have 15 nights in total and are looking at spending 6 or 7 on Savaii. I am having trouble choosing between the above resorts. They both get great reviews. They look like they are next to each other, is this correct? We will live in the water both on and under, so good reliable kayaks and SUP boards would be great. Will have our own snorkel gear. Which has the best restaurant? Both seem to have lovely staff. We like to emerse ourselves in the culture when we travel. Does one resort outshine the other? Cheers Kiwi

Hi

Savaii Lagoon Resort is by far my favourite place to stay in Samoa. It's a little smaller than Le Lagoto and a more boutique style.

There are new owners so I haven't experienced it since they took over but I'm assuming they wouldn't change much given it was working very well as is.

The food is exceptional as are the staff and the fales have everything you need.

I'm not sure about kayaks and SUPs so you'd have to email them and ask, Savaii Lagoon also have a glass bottom boat which is great for an above the water view of the reef.

My vote is for SLR but I'm a little biased

Cheers

Deb

Dive Savaii is across the road from both if you wanted a trip out to the reef
