We had a very bad experience when we rented a Toyota Rav4 from JetzRentz Rental. The vehicle was booked well in advance but when we arrived there was no car for us. After more than an hour a Toyota Rav4 arrived which made strange sound when the engine was on, was damaged and scratched all over and its fuel tank less than half full. The sound worried us. The driver handing over the car assured us that there is nothing wrong. We had already lost a lot of time so we took the car after they filled the fuel tank 3/4. We filled the tank to full on the way. Next day, the vehicle simply stopped in the middle of the road while going up the hill. We put the breaks on and danger sign on as we called JetzRentz Rental. They sent a small Nissan car which also made strange sound but with no choice and more than 70 KM away from the hotel in a place without any soul in sight, we took it and went back to the hotel. JetzRentz Rental told us that they would send us another Rav4, which is in good order next day after 12:00 noon. Later they sent an email telling us that we were driving in 4-wheel mode which has damaged the gears of the Rav4 they gave us first. After some unpleasant exchanges, being called 'fishy', and wasting almost a whole day of our two and half days holiday, we got a Rav4 which had been on road for 487,000 KM and with half filled fuel tank. But it drove well. We again filled up the fuel tank. They reimbursed us WST 40, the difference in the rent between the Rav4 and the small Nissan car. For fuel, they said it is their policy not to give full tank fuel and customer has to return only as much fuel as was when they rented the vehicle. There was no sorry or regret, nor we expected given that they not only gave us a vehicle that could have put us in danger, rather they tried to pass on the blame to us. We come regularly to Savai'i and never had any problem with the rental companies from who were rented before this holiday. This was the first and the last time with JetzRentz Rental, Salelologa, Savai'i. They care only about money, not customers' lives. There's no service.
