Is it an open or enclosed fale? Fales are safe but, as for being comfortable is a matter of opinion, you will have heavy plastic blinds to protect yourself from the rain. Also bear in mind weather reports are just a guide, rain is usually only morning and evening with relatively fine daylight hours.

It can vary depending which way the predominant wind is for the season, some parts of the island may get very little rain. Most Fales make provisions for rain and will ‘batten down the hatches’ with tarpaulin- which can make things a bit hot and sweaty. One thing I take with me is rope ( about the thickness of clothes line) it seems to be in short supply and the woven blinds and any tarp can blow out in the breeze allowing half the fale to get wet.
It’s all part of the experience -it probably won’t rain day and night ( well for no more than a day or so) and if you have one bad night a day of lazing around usually makes up for it... the North does tend to get less rain in the April - October season, so if you are in a really wet area in the south maybe try going for a drive for the day to see if the other coast is better.
