I am trying to get a day tour as we will be arriving by Pacific Princess on Feb.24. I emailed the Yap tourism board twice but, as yet, have no response. Although I would like to snorkel, I am with my mother who is elderly so something cultural plus birding would be great.

I know this reply is way too late for you. I'm only replying in case anyone else has this same question in the future because I just left Yap and have an answer. Mark, the owner of Oceania Hotel, arranged a great day tour with Tamag that showed us about every square inch of Yap. Highly recommend it. Full day or half--as you wish.
Thank you - in fact our cruise went to Guam :-( instead of Yap. Disappointed but little we could do. Maybe next time!
