Nozawa Onsen

Nozawa Onsen

I and my wife will be visiting Nozawa Onsen on December 9, 2018 - leaving Shinjuku at 9am, and probably hop on Shinkansen at 8pm back to Shinjuku.

Any suggestion on how we can maximize our day-trip? Our main goal is to experience its famous onsen and a brief sightseeing. Do we need to prepare winter clothing and boots?

Thank you so much!

God bless.

The Shinkansen to/from Nozawa Onsen is Hokuriku Shinkansen between JRTokyo or JR Ueno and JR Iiyama.

You take a bus fro Iiyama to Nozawa Onsen. Ii's better to stay there, but aren't you going to do Skiing there?

Thank you Sir mabei0123 for your response.

No sir, just a day-trip. Take the onsen and brief sight-seeing of Nozawa Village.

God bless.

I went in early December last year and there was so much snow that the slopes opened early. I would definitely prepare for snow and bring a towel and soap, etc, for the onsen. Enjoy!
