Travelling from Matsumoto to Yudanaka

Hi,

There is a train that departs Matsumoto at 9.09am and arrives Nagano 10.01am.

According to Hyperdia there is a train that departs Nagano at 10.29 for Yudanaka. It stops at Shinshunakuna 11.15 and departs from here at 11.25 for Yudanaka.

Is the train to Yudanaka on a separate line and if so where is this line in relation to track 2 at Nagano station?

Do I change trains at Shinshunakuna or stay on the same train?

This trip will be in October.

Regards

Cheryl

The train from Nagano to Yudanaka is run by a different company, Nagaden. The train from Matsumoto will be a JR train and arrive at the JR station. When you get through the barrier, look for signs directing you to the Nagaden station, which is down a couple of flights of stairs. It's easy enough to find.

If Hyperdia has an orange symbol with the letter T, then you cahnge trains at Shunshunakuna.

Thankyou Selsy,

This extra bit of information is very helpful. Knowing that I have to look for signs directing me to Nagaden Station is a great help. Yes I will be changing trains at Shinshunakana.

Cheers

Cheryl
