Isla Contadora--too touristy?

Isla Contadora--too touristy?

My husband and I are traveling to Panama in November. In interest of maximizing our time there, I've pretty much eliminated visiting San Blas islands and focused on las Perlas. Overall, is Contadora a place you would recommend staying for two nights? Is it overly touristy?

If anyone has opinions of Contadora, OR alternate suggestions about island stays within a few hours of Panama City I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance :)

I would definitely stay for two nights. If you love beaches and relaxing, there is nothing touristy about the Island in my opinion.

It was me and my wifes favorite part of our Panama trip

I agree with Zdehn— It would be a very nice stay for two nights . Easy to get to beaches on all parts of the island.

How is the snorkeling? Would you go here instead of Bocas? We were thinking of San Blas as well, for beach and culture.

Not touristy at all. Lots of room on the beaches. Easy to get around; we rented a golf cart for our 2 day stay.
