Overnight in San Salvador

Overnight in San Salvador

My family and I are returning from Costa Rica to US at the end of Nov. and have an overnight flight connection in San Salvador (from 9:50pm to 7:50am). We plan to stay in a nearby hotel. Any suggestions for that short of a stay? Anything that we could do in the city? We are US citizens and I understand that we have to get visa permit at the airport if we decided to leave the airport.

I occasionally overnight in SAL when transiting MGA-SAL-SFO.

Look at Aeroconnections VIP Lounges. Different hours and max stay hours
