Sanur to Ubud day

Hi all, we (2 ladies) are heading from Sanur to Ubud and wondering what to see along the way (will use the majority of the day to do it) and was thinking ....

Leave Sanur about 9/10am

Tegenungan Waterfalls

Goa Gajah Elephant Cave (or via Sideman?)

Toya Devasya Hot Springs

Tegallalang Rice Terraces

Ubud around 3/4pm (stay for 2 nights - then off to Legian)

We have been to Bali before but not these places.

What do you think, will it to be rushed to do them all?

That's exciting! Enjoy your planning. If it were me I would do Tegenungan Waterfall, Tirta Empul (instead of Goa Gajah) & Tegalalang. I think Sideman & the hot springs are too far away and deserve more time in the general area. Perhaps add in a stop at the Sukawati markets? Or a traditional dance performance. You'll enjoy it all, be a little bit exhausted but be very happy you packed it all in. :)

What did you intend to do with your 2 days in Ubud. Do you intend any "Sightseeing"

For your proposed trip do

Tegenungan - Toya Devasaya/Batur - Tegalalang - Goa Gajah - Ubud

Get the longer drive out of the way.

Then if you spent more time at Batur than you thought then you can drop Goa Gajah.

Goa Gajah is only a few kms outside of Ubud so can also easily visit it whilst in Ubud.

Please bear in mind that even if you drove straight to Batur from Sanur this would take at least 2hrs.

Thanks, advice well given and taken on board. Will probably drop out the hot springs and incorporate on next holiday to Bali and stay up that way too.

Now to find just the right driver for 2 ladies who is honest, with a sense of humour, good English and wanting to share all their knowledge about Bali.

I think you would feel very comfortable with Gede. He is a young married man who speaks excellent English. He can be contacted by email - made.baragan@yahoo.com He was recommended to us on here by someone from Perth so we used him on our last trip and will definitely use him again. He charged us 600,000 for a full day. His phone number is 085237109442

Hi Anne. Gede will become a father in about 6 months. They are both thrilled.
