Can I bring vanilla beans into NZ from Niue?

Declare everything. I think You will need to present them at niue airport to get the certificate (i think it costs $15) - but that seemed a bit excessive too me when we saw people doing it. if they are packaged and processed correctly its not a problem. ive bought vanilla beans in from french polynesia before. Just have original receipts, and in original packaging and declare. i find it best to carry in hand luggage so i can show the customs officer at nz airport.
