Important! Syria's electronic visa program is launching May 1st (2024). This information is based on recent updates from the Syrian Ministry of Tourism on Facebook.

Here's what you'll likely need to do when the program launches:

Apply online at evisa.sy

Fill out all required fields

Upload your photos (personal and passport)

Pay application fees (electronic or cash, depending on your country)

Download your visa file in PDF format from the website

Pay the visa fee in cash upon arrival if you choose that option during online application.

Note: This is based on preliminary information. For the most up-to-date details, check the official evisa.sy website after May 1st.

Troubleshooting Upload Issues:

1. File Size: Ensure passport/personal photo size is under 150kb.

2. Platform Congestion: During peak periods, upload delays may occur. Try again later.

Additional Tips:

- Clear browser cache and cookies before uploading.

- Try a different browser or device.

- Share Your Success:

Users who have successfully applied for a visa are encouraged to share their experiences on this forum. Your insights can be valuable to others. Good luck!

I just submitted my application for e-visa this afternoon. The status is Submitted, Fees must be paid.

However there has been no prompt for payment yet. Maybe it will come with the approval?

Anyone else apply?

Update:

The payment option appears after a little while under a drop down menu ( 3 lines to the right ). From there I was sent to a 3rd party payment site.

Current status: In Progress

The waiting continues

In this case, if you have already paid the initial service fee (around $17), your application is likely being processed by the immigration department for study purposes.
