Mosquito nets?

Do I need to bring a mosquito net to South East Asia (I'm going to Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia) and I plan to do some hiking but not camping.

Or would a lot of the hotels/hostels/guest houses have them?

Thank you for any advice

1. Re: Mosquito nets?

I had a mosquito net with me for my first trip to Laos, but never used it. Even in homestays they had nets, and all guesthouses that didn't have A/C had them as well. So didn't one along for my second trip, and didn't miss it once.

So I think you can save some space in your bag...

If you did need one, you can get them in any market for much cheaper than the UK.

If there are mosquitoes in my guesthouse room I just spray the room before going out for dinner. You can get a small can of mossie killer for $2 in any local general store.
