Multiple or single entry on a Laos visa?

Does anyone know if you can go in and out of Laos on a 30 day visa? Or is it just a single entry?

Many thanks

Yeah but its also about the goofiest visa I have ever seen. You get 30 days, but there is no "exit" date stamped nor the "30 days" noted like on other countries. They simply charge you $10 a day for every day over. You could stay a whole year over your Laos visa but you would pay $3650 on exit. Most people just get a new visa on re-entry, or if you know you are going to stay over 30 days it will probably save you money to run across the Thai border - literally over and back in the same day - before your 30 days expire.

As with most visas in the region - a visa allows you to enter the country during a specific time period for a specific number of days. For Laos, your entry stamp is an additional stamp which indicates your arrival date and the date from which your 30 days starts from.

Extensions can be made for up to 30 days at a time (and you can do this twice) without leaving the country for the cost of USD2 per day.
