Our Colorado vacation is only two weeks away. We have the first week planned but have four days still undecided. I know RMNP will be crowded but we are still considering it. If we spent the night in Frisco would it be feasable to drive to Grand Lake and then over Trail Ridge Rd to Estes Park in one day? Would that give us time to stop and enjoy all the scenery? From Estes Park we will head back to Denver for a late flight home. It looks like there is lodging available for one night inEstes Park. Thank you so much!

I think that is a good idea - I prefer entering on the west side to avoid the massive crowds coming in on the east side. Have a great time.

On the way to Grand Lake you will go through the town of Hot Sulpher Springs. If your schedule/time allows you could soak for an hour or so there in the hot springs.
