Honeymoon Hotel Question

Hi there.

Myself and fiancee are getting married in June next year. We LOVE Italy and haave stayed many places in Italy but never really had a 'beach holiday' in Italy.

We are looking at Sardinia as a potential destination for our honeymoon, just for a week in July.

The problem were finding is that the hotels, particularly the rooms themselves look really old, and don't look like somewhere you'd spend your honeymoon, they look like a grandma has furnished them.

Does anyone have any recommendations of a hotel, near or on a beach which is relatively modern in style ?

Thanks

1. Re: Honeymoon Hotel Question

We also like modern hotels, not as you say looking like the grandmother furnished them, but espcially outside the larger cities this is not so easy and depends on budget of course.

We spent a few days in Cagliari in a very nice B&B with a rooftop terrace. http://www.bedandbreakfastcagliaricity.it/

In Cala Gonone we stayed in hotel Nettuono. They also have a pool now but the rooms are very simple.

In Alghero we stayed in Hotel Angedras. If our budget would have been higher I liked this one: http://www.hotelvillalastronas.it/it/
