Airport Buses

Hola!

I have to be at Madrid Airport, Terminal 1, by 5am on Saturday. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get a bus to the airport? I'm trying to avoid paying the 25 euros for a taxi.

Thanks.

Hi!

In Madrid, almost nobody takes a bus to/from the airport, as the subway is very cheap and efficient, which makes it the preferred option jointly with a taxi (depending on your budget).

Subway stations at the airport are located in Terminals 2 and 4, and the journey to/from the city centre costs €2. The subway (Metro) website is http://www.metromadrid.es . However, if you need help with a concrete itinerary or something else, let-us know it.

In case you want a bus, there is a line going to Avenida de América. However, the location is not very central, and you would have to take the subway or a taxi (or other buses) from there.

Thank you. The problem is that I have to be at the airport by 5am and the subway won't have started yet.

I heard a rumour that there is a night bus from Plaza de Cibeles. Any info on that?

Oh dear! I didn't notice the hour! Please, excuse-me, Lilly!

I'm afraid there are not buses at this time of night. It is surprising, in a city like Madrid, and an airport but Barajas, but it's the unfortunate reality. I have done some research, and it confirms my conclusions.

There is a night bus (Búho) that stops quite close to the airport, which is the nr. N4 (Avenida de Logroño stop). Then, you'll have to walk 5 minutes or so. For schedules, maps and itinerary, check the website http://www.emtmadrid.es
