Madrid to Seville - Flight or Train

We are landing in Madrid on a Saturday morning at 830am (from Atlanta) and plan to head straight to Seville. There is an hourly train but prices aren't out yet (trip is in December). There is an 1150 Iberia flight for $85 pp. Looking at train prices for October (as an example) they only seem to be a little cheaper. First time in Madrid, so welcome thoughts on whether we should take train or fly. Also, if train, what time train would you reserve? Thank you.

If you are already in the airport it makes more sense to fly. Train is good if you are in Madrid center. Price of the train depends on when you get it and the class, from about 35 to 120 euros. If taking the train, I would take one around midday.
