Beware at Carrefor car park.

And anywhere else for that matter....

The Scrotes are targeting cars this way. ...

You use your key fob to lock up, but they have a jamming device which prevents the doors locking. You enter the store oblivious and return to find your car ransacked.

Therefore..... MANUALLY CHECK YOUR DOORS ARE LOCKED

Apparently it's not just this car park but loads more. IKEA in Málaga, La Cañada in Marbella, Dunnes Stores in Fuengirola. 😢

Just about everywhere, in UK too.

And not only are there little devices that block you locking, there are also devices that read your door code and copy it.

So you lock your car, check it's locked, and once you've gone away they unlock it.

As elsewhere in Europe, a car with a Hire Company sticker is more likely to be targeted.

Only solution seems to be that one of you stays in the car .

Or leave your Alsation inside.😀

Best wishes

It is really dreadful that they do this and there seems nothing that can be done, I expect they'd find a way even if it was the old fashioned using a key to lock it :(

Happening a lot in the UK with Land Rover Discoverys.

Apparently their key fobs can be replicated on a simple smartphone.

Turista... Are you saying they can unlock your car even if you have manually checked it. I thought the blocker only prevented the doors locking.

@Trickster - yes there are some devices that can copy your car key, so even if you've tested it they can unlock it.

:-(

@Joxxer - Yes, it wees on them.

Do they need to have physical possession of your key to copy it?

No. The crooks intercept the radio signal that the key fob sends to the vehicle.

Once the owner has walked away they open the doors using the cloned radio signal.

If the vehicle has push-button starting they can just drive it away.

No. When you click it to send the code to the door lock, their device reads your code. Then it reproduces it when they want to get in.
