Spain in Dec

We are planning a 10 days trip to Spain in mid Dec with a short 4 days stop in Paris. We are thinking of flying into Barcelona, ending in Madrid and taking the train to Paris. What other places should we consider in our trip considering its winter?

We are a family of 5 and our kid are 15, 17 and 20. This is our first trip to Spain. We have started researching and reading but would really appreciate help with advise on our itinerary planning and best way to travel in between cities. Thank you in advance.

Suggestion:

Barcelona - 3 days.

Take the AVE to Madrid. Read Buying Renfe Tickets Onine.

Madrid - 4 days (one day trip to Toledo and one to Segovia).

Take AVE to Cordoba and stay 2 days.

Return to Madrid on AVE. Proceed to Paris.

Hi BennyMalaga. Thanks for your advise. We have decided to spend the entire trip in Spain. We would like to include Valencia and southern region. Appreciate your advise / suggestion.
