How do you get the 22 miles from Grenoble Airport into the City Centre and train station
Which airport do you mean ? Coz "Grenoble" airport is usually Lyon's airport, called Saint Exupéry. Grenoble airport (Grenoble Isère) is a smaller airport only active during ski season, mainly for British tourists.
During the ski season, there's a shuttle bus from Grenoble St Geoirs airport to Grenoble bus station which is next to the train station:
It runs on Saturdays and Sundays, and occasionally on certain weekdays. It costs 12.80€ single.
If you are arriving at Lyon St Exupery airport (LYS), sometimes also mistakenly referred to as Grenoble airport, there's also a shuttle bus, which runs every hour, or sometimes every half hour:
Hi, I need help on this as the French site for public transport does not work. We are arriving at the Isere airport on 23/12/17 at 13.55. I would like to get the public transport bus to Chamrousse where we will stay. Apart from private shuttle services, which are expensive and we do not have the ski gear, I cannot find any timetables, departure times, connections etc.
Many thanks for nay help, Jana
Hi, I need help on this as the French site for public transport does not work for December 2017. We are arriving at the Isere airport on 23/12/17 at 13.55. I would like to get the public transport bus to Chamrousse where we will stay. Apart from private shuttle services, which are expensive and we do not have the ski gear, I cannot find any timetables, departure times, connections etc. Can you help on this, please?
I suggest you have a look at Ben´s Bus:
I haven't used it personally, but it get's quite good reviews for other resorts. It will certainly be quicker than taking the Actibus shuttle bus to Grenoble (timetable not yet online for December, but it usually meets incoming flights) then the public bus service to Chamrousse.
On 2nd January, there's a bus from Grenoble airport to Grenoble station at 14:40, arriving at 15:25. The price is 14:50 € single or 25 € return. The first hold bag is free, additional bags are 5 € each.
The timetable is here:
The bus timetable for the airport shuttle is now available. On Saturday 23rd December, there's a bus from the airport at 15:25, arriving at Grenoble station at 16:10.
But the next bus to Chamrousse leaves at 19:15.
So a direct transfer with Ben's Bus might be best for you.
Great thank you
