Recommendation on where to stay in Paris

We will be stopping over in Paris for 2 nights in end Dec on our way back from Spain. We are looking for hotel centrally located so it is easy for sight seeing. Our budget is not more than USD200 per night. This is our first visit to Paris. We would greatly appreciate recommendation on where to stay.

Thank you.

I would recommend entering "Paris France hotel near Notre Dame (or other location)" in Google. After that, check the reviews in Trip Advisor.

Go to www.heart-of-paris-hotels.com and click on Notre Dame. You can look at hotels in the area and then select one you like. Research it on here then contact the hotel directly via email for internet rates or other questions. Notre Dame and St. Germain are in the heart of Paris. There are many hotels to choose from and all of the major sights are within walking distance.

You can also use the search box on TA, and type some key words like "central hotel" or "USD200 hotel". There are so many threads that you will find something for sure.

Otherwise, you can have a look at the hotel Lautrec Opera, located in the 2nd arrondissement. This hotel is central, and really affordable. It's not the most beautiful hotel, but it's comfortable, clean and warm. I like it. http://www.paris-hotel-lautrec.com

I'd suggest Hotel Valadon Colors, Hotel Concortel or Hotel Ascot Opera, all 3 are in the center of the city, close to everything, and less that 200 bucks/night.

If you want to save money you can stay in Hotel Ascot Opera or Hotel Raspail Montparnasse in the 14th district, costs about 100 Euro.

Have a good time.

Hi there

In July we stayed at the Hotel Brighton. It had "postcard" views of Paris across the road from The Louvre and Tuileries.

Kind Regards
