if you want to be in the real "port ambiance" choose Le Guilvinec or Penmarch (maybe penmarch with the rocky coast) ) they nearly live only for the fishing industry

Douarnenez is a nice small town a little bit bigger(15.000 people) than Guilvinec and Penmarch and more lifefull

Audierne is the medium size between Douarnenez and Penmarch, (maybe my favorite but there is no specific reason) a very nice place with some good restaurant (le goyen, la pecherie)

concarneau is very touristic in summer and is the less "typical" of all
