Buses in Snowdonia in November. Sherpa not running?

Hello,

I understand the Sherpa runs buses during the summer, but says they stop running in early November. When the Sherpa buses have stopped running do other buses run? Are there Taxis? How do you get around from say Betws-y-coed to Bodnant Gardens without a car in late November?

Thank you!

23 mins direct on the X19 bus. Stops on the main road.

Use www.traveline.cymru to check public transport times between any two places in Wales.

Note that some place names (e.g. Penybont, Talybont, Minffordd) are common across Wales so to be sure to select the correct one.

Take particular care using 'Betws y Coed': either type in full, or select carefully from the drop down list. If you just type Betws and 'enter' it will default to a 'Betws' in South Wales, with nonsense results. (I've made that mistake more than once!)

Hmmmm ... IIRC there should be winter timetables for at least some of the Sherpa routes, but the Gwynedd council website only has a reference to the summer timetable, finishing on 4th Nov, as you'd noted.

I've contacted the council to alert them to this.

The Sherpa network diagram on the same page does include the other buses in the area, such as the X19.

Another hmmmmmm .... The Bodnant Gardens website only makes reference to the bus no. 25 from Llandudno.

The X19 Blaenau Ffestiniog to Llandudno route definitely goes to both BetwsyCoed and Bodnant gardens. Full timetable, from the traveline.cymru website, here:

By the way, the Sherpa service was never relevant to this journey. The Sherpa buses run round the mountain of Snowdon itself.
