Give me some save time estimates

I would organise a taxi to Liverpool street. Train Liverpool Street to Stansted airport http://www.greateranglia.co.uk

It's not RyanAir you should worry about but -from reports on here - EasyBus. :-) (they're not related to EasyJet)

That would take about 5 hours and cost hundreds of pounds, though you'd see where the Beatles came from. Oh, you mean Liverpool STREET. Sorry to be pedantic, but please don't truncate station or street names in London, you could (seriously) be sold the wrong ticket.
You can take a cab to Victoria Coach station, and then a National Express coach to Stansted. There's a 3.45am departure that gets to to STN at 5.10am, fare £9.50.

Or, there's the Terravision coach from Victoria (Bullied Way) for £9. They have a 3.50am departure getting you to STN at 5.05am - http://www.terravision.eu/inglese/files/2012/06/london_victoria_timetable-1.pdf
Of the two I'd probably choose National Express.
Edited: 11 years agoOr if Clapham Junction is easy to get to and money is tight then a train to Victoria for the coach
Edited: 11 years agoThe problem is the time of morning the OP needs to get to Stansted. There is not going to be a train from Clapham Junction to Victoria at a convenient time for a 03.45/03.50 coach. There are hourly trains through the night, which surprised me, but they arrive at 02.49 and 03.49. I would not fancy waiting around Victoria for 45-50 minutes at 3 am.
Stansted Express is a possibility, but the OP would need to catch the 04.40 (which is the first train on certain days of the week). A combination of night buses or train to Victoria + N11 to Liverpool Street would save money, but take a lot o time.
I'd find a hotel near Stansted tbh. Less worry, avoids sitting on buses half the night and probably not much more than a cab to Liverpool St and StEx.
+1 parklandwalk, go the night before. From numerous reports on here i wouldn't even CONSIDER Easybus whether its the night before and certainly not in the morning.
......cab to Liverpool STREET station thats OK.....guess about 20 mins
Stansted Xpress reads 4.55am next 5.10am so should aim for those ones.
arrive by 6am ? .....is this early enough for 7.30 departure for Perugia Italy if I am Ryan-eering.
Please tell us you're not doing this on a Sunday.
.....not that silly.....checked the Mon to Fri (going on a Thursday) timetable for Stan Xpress that shows the times listed.

Yup, that'll work. Remember the STEX costs about £23. Whereas the coaches from Victoria cost just £9-9.50.
It would be safer to head to STN the night before, just in (the very slim I know) case that there's a problem with the train.
The only RyanAir specific issues to be concerned about are reading their T+Cs with a microscope. And most importantly, checking in and printing out your boarding pass BEFORE heading to STN (do it several days before rather than scamper around the evening before). You'll also have to do their "visa check" (even though you don't need a visa for Italy) which means getting an endorsement stamp on your pre-printed boarding pass as you have a non-EU passport (assuming that's the case).
