Anyone give any thought to going to the Westin for dinner? which night would be preferable, also any thoughts on which night the casino would be busy?
If you are not staying there, the Westin is a bit off the beaten path. If interested in the Dawn Beach/Oyster Pond area for dinner there are excellent restaurants on either side of Oyster Pond. Big Fish, Canoa. Daniels by the Sea near the entrance to Oyster Bay Beach Resort. Island Pizza.
The other side Quai Quest or Captain Olivers for up-scale. Dinghy Dock for good bar food. Mamas Pizza on the main road for pizza or good Italian.
Have done a few trips to the Westin casino but keep in mind they have a "captive" clientele. IF you do slots be careful of the $25 slot planted In the midst of the 25 cent slots. Hard to tell without close inspection.
Thanks, have stayed in the area prior and hence I am aware of the eating spots around Oyster Bay...I am more interested if anyone has any experience with the Westin for dinner and or the Casino. Have been to Sunday brunch only at the Westin.
I was able t capture a number of Cockroaches at the Westin using my phone. It was at night so when phone flashes they would run.
The Dawn Beach Club committed fraud on my Discover Card. I was staying at another resort and was told I could stay at the Dawn Beach Club for free to Try out the resort and that if I decided I did not want to buy I would not be charged for the room and if I decided to buy i still would not be charged, so it was zero risk, they were confident I would buy, I would only have to pay a $250 non-refundable admin fee. So I elected not to buy and was told that my balance was zero and they hoped I would return in the future and reconsider, I told them I would, only to find that the I stayed at the Dawn Beach Club until I found ants all over the kitchen, then cockroaches, the place was so dirty and disgusting. So I elected not to buy only to find that the Dawn Beach Club fraudulently charged my credit card. This hotel and the staff that work there are a complete scam.
