One night only - dining advice!

We're spending one night, pre-cruise, at the Westin. This will be our first trip to SXM. So if you only had one night, where would you eat? About us: the quality of food, view, service are more important than price. Probably not Italian...and no tux!! Other than that, we're easy! I've read the reviews and looked at the map and I'm just not coming away with a clear winner! So thought that whomever watches this forum is passionate about the area! Thanks!

Scubaman, are you saying it's worth the 25 minute cab ride to go to Grand Case?

By all means it's worth it and it won't take 25 min. It's just as close as anything else special worth going to from where you are staying. The Westin isn't really close to a lot of special places since you only have one night on island.

Ok. thank you! Not having been there before, when I Google map, it tells me 24 minutes to Grand Case. This opens up a lot more options as it was Oyster Pond dining options I was struggling with.

Might I suggest Sunset Café at Grand Case Beach Club......great views plus good food.......get there about a half hour before sunset....cocktails, watch the sun go down and than have a lovely dinner.

While I like Sunset, there's far better food choices in Grand Case. Pressoir, La Villa, Le Tastevin, are good options. This site will give you a good idea of what's three.

There's not really anything high end near the Westin.

Ocean 82 in Grand Case. Get a table right by the water at sunset. Fabulous food, and the view is beautiful.
