Cheap but tasty

We will be in the Oyster pond are in April. We would like to eat "cheap" once a day. What is around here that is tasty but inexpensive?

Orleans (French Quarter) next door to Oyster Pond has Yvettes. Local creole cuisine lunch and dinner except Wednesdays. Bordering on really cheap, it was just voted best local food on the island. Look for the only Gas station around and it's up the dis road in a house.

Maybe Mama Pizza. It's on the main road as it passes Oyster Pond. Dine on a pleasant stone patio cut into the hillside. Beautiful view of Oyster Pond. Great pizza. Not sure about "inexpensive", especially if you add their great salads and wine. Parking beside the road.

Thanks for the feed back, is there anything local like a street vendor? Type thing, a grab and go type of thing?

Mama pizza is great but it is very expensive. Yvette and the lolos are definitely a most go when travelling to the island.

Another vote for Yvette's... if you are in Philipsburg at night, try the local street food in the parking lot of the casino @ the stop light. One of my favorite places.

Quai Ouest. Great food. Reasonably priced.
