Fox car rental

they are not professional business, ill start from the beginning once you land at the air port every car rental company office is at the terminal. there is outside the terminal across the street. i bought car rental insurance through Expedia, when i went in they said they dont recognize that insurance to be valid and charged me $2500 usd on my credit card for not having insurance. also they scare you and strong arm you that you have to buy insurance through them for $300 usd other wise you are responsible for the whole price of the car!!. also when you are returning the car i saw with multiple customers having argument because they were looking to find reasons to charge customers extra beware and also i am an Expedia member i dont know why Expedia have them as a partner after words i saw so many reviews with people having same problem. every one stay away

BEWARE! Do not rent from them! We reserved a Standard Size SUV, they tried to give us a Kia Soul - a compact car even by their own standards. We argued and finally took a full size car instead - which should have been much less expensive. They adamantly refused to give us a refund for taking a MUCH less expensive car, stating it was 'our choice' to take something other than the SUV they were offering. Nothing we could do but let them screw us when we are on their lot in Mexico.... Upon return we contacted Customer Service via chat and asked what car category a Kia Soul was in. I have - in writing - from Fox Chat that Fox considers a Kia Soul to be a compact car. I then took this information to Fox directly, contacting Customer Support via email asking for a $209.00 refund, which is the difference in cost between a std SUV and a full size car. They have no responded. They are thieves! They know there is nothing you can do once you are on their lot via their shuttle and you have no where else to go. We read up on the insurance, we get that. We follow all their rules on the insurance and pay by credit card and get a letter from our credit card company to avoid the $25/day insurance, but gladly pay all the rest. I ask only that they honor their agreement with us and either give us the size car we paid for OR give us an upgrade at no additional cost (which they state is their policy) OR give us a refund. But instead they chose to screw us. This was the 3rd time we had rented from Fox in Cancun. We bought a timeshare in that area and now go annually to Cancun. Fox just lost ALL of our future business for life. Over a couple hundred dollars. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!

We just had a bad experience with FOX too! They totally SCAMMED US!! It would take 3 paragraphs to explain our terrible experience with them. We are wanting to save others the same trouble-- Just trust us.... if you get a cheap rate online through carrentals.com, or others, it's NOT going to be cheap. We were charged an additional $250 because they basically force you into purchasing their travel insurance (though we had already purchased it through carrentals.com). Then they put a $3000 deposit on our credit card and said it was a mistake and would refund it back to our credit card. STILL after 9 days, the credit isn't showing up!!! They told us, at the time of our rental, that IF we purchased their insurance we wouldn't have to put this large deposit down. NEVER AGAIN!!!!
