Cabbage Beach would be a good choice if you are looking for that type of scenery. The beach is very long and has a lot of private areas.
On the other hand, there are a couple cathedrals in the downtown area that would be welcoming. This will be closer to you as you'll be coming off of the cruise port.

I did a lot of research last year before our September trip, looking for someone to do a vow renewal ceremony for us, including posting on this forum and couldn't find anyone/anyplace that looked right. I finally found Bernadette and she was just what we wanted. I arranged everything with her by email and let her know once we were checked into our room at the Comfort Suites. She picked us up at the hotel and drove us to a close-by beautiful beach. For our ceremony, she actually brought a pastor with her, so he did the brief, very sweet ceremony for us. They took pictures with our camera and after we spent some time at the beach (really, probably as much time as we wanted to), she drove us back to our hotel.
If this is the kind of thing you have in mind, reach out to Bernadette!
We used Bahamas Vow renewal with Glenn! He was phenomenal! Very reasonable and very accommodating! I told him exactly what I wanted which was a little different from the packages he offered and he didn't hesitate to give me just what I was looking for. He provided transportation for my family and when we were late because of issues getting off of the ship, he patiently waited and modified the beach location to ensure we still had our little ceremony! We couldn't thank him enough for this wonderful customer service! He also requested info about our family and put together a little keepsake booklet with our history! It was a very pleasant surprise, it was like he knew us and our family! His words were genuine and perfect for a renewal! This was very casual, it was my husband and I, our 4 children, and a family friend. We didn't get the picture package but that didn't stop him from guiding us through some poses for some fabulous photos/memories! Glen made our renewal very special!
Edited: 7 years agoI would recommend Glenn Ferguson with www.bahamas-destination-wedding.com. My husband and I took a cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary and renewed our vows in a ceremony on the beach in Nassau. We were real pressed for time due to we already had paid for an excursion for that morning and only had a window of a few hours before we had to be back on the ship. Glenn kept in close contact with us and made the arrangements at a local beach that was close to the port. He also involved our 3 grown children in the ceremony and it turned out great. Unfortunately it was raining very heavily but he managed to perform the ceremony under an awning overlooking the beach with the cruise ships in the background. Glenn was very nice to work with and the price was very affordable.
Hi Heather. My fiancé Bernard and I are getting married in an Orlando courthouse on the 31st August before we aboard a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas. We’re wanting to hold the ceremony in Nassau, but be officially married in Orlando (as this is where Bernard proposed). There will only be Bernard, my 2 daughters and I present. Do you think this something Bernadette could arrange?
Stefkay - Congratulations! Yes, I definitely recommend Bernadette for your ceremony. I hope you have a wonderful trip!!!
