Riu Palace vs Riu Palace Bavaro

Hi there

Looking for advice. Wanting to book Punta Cana for dec 19 -26. Narrowed it down to either Riu Palace or Riu Palace Bavaro.

Pros and cons of each?

Travelling with DH, and two kids 18 and 23, looking at connecting suite.

Which one is most up to date? Better food? Entertainment day news night?

Any help would be appreciated

For what it’s worth, we’ve stayed at the RIU Macao twice and while there, a couple of guests from the RIU Palace Bavaro came over and remarked that it appeared that Macao guests were having much more fun than those at Bavaro. They said that it was subdued day and at night. We are planning to visit the RIU Palace Punta Cana in the Spring of 2022 to celebrate our 50th anniversary . Our children and grandchildren are coming with us. The RIU Palace Punta Cana was renovated in recent years and the prospect of nice connecting rooms for my son’s family influenced our choice. I believe that the food selection is similar at the top three RIU resorts. Bambu and Naiboa may be a little more generic. Closed bathrooms at the RIU Palace Punta Cana also factored in. RIU Palace Bavaro has open concept bathrooms.
