There is not a direct bus leaving Carrapateira at 11.40 on Mondays & Fridays?

Sorry! On Fridays, saturdays & sundays...

Buses in that area do not operate at all on Saturdays and Sundays except for one bus early on Saturday from Aljezur to Lagos, returning at lunchtime. Carrapteira has two buses each week, to and from Aljezur..

The only bus leaves Carrapateira on Friday at 0822. Get off that bus at Monte do Rei and follow the informatio ngiven at http://www.algarvebus.info/048.htm as you then take a bus to Lagos, where you will arrive at 0907. The bus to Sagres leaves Lagos at 0915, arriving in Sagres at 1020.

The problem is that the only bus to Carrapateira leaves Monte do Rei at 1345, to get back from Sagres for that bus means leaving Sagres at 1025!

You may see a Rede Expressos bus passing through Carrapateira towards Sagres but they do not offer local service between the two places.

Welcome to rural Portugal where everyone has a car. There is little need for bus service.

The public bus service between Carrapateira and Sagres was discontinued some years ago for lack of use.
