Trip to Botaira

Our family is planning on staying at the Botaira Resort in June. However, it seems that all flights fdrom Sydney arrive in the afternoon and the flyer only departs in the morning. We would like to avoid staying the extra night on the mainland, and so were wondering whether there are any alternative methods of transport?

Thankyou!

Contact the resort direct and ask if they are able to transfer you. We had the same problem but opted to go the next day as the wind can come up in the afternoon making the seas rough and the trip over unpleasant in their boat which is not large. I believe they are looking at buying a purpose built boat for transfers. Email Jerry at > botaira@connect.com.fj<. booking online direct through Botairas' website it is also cheaper to book direct with the resort as the longer you stay the cheaper it gets. We came back from Botaira after our 10th visit 3 weeks ago and have just had a reunion with other returnees. Hope you love it as much as we do.

Thanks for your help, do you have any reccomendations for a hotel near the airport for a one night stay?

Sounds like a fantastic trip coming up. Just another choice from the great info Barb gave you re staying overnight in Nadi. The airport hotels are about a 20-25 minute drive from the marina, a bit more with the current roadworks depending on the time of day.

We usually stay at The Terraces apartments, at Denarau as it's a really convenient spot if you have an 8.30am Yasawa Flyer to catch.

The Terraces are across the road from the marina where the boat departs.

With the 2 hr time difference ahead of our time this suits us well if arriving the afternoon before, a bit more of a sleep in :) Just stayed there again recently and caught the 8.30am boat.

We usually email them direct and book. But check prices per night on sites like wotif or expedia beforehand to ensure the price is what we want. Most times they give us a 2 bedroom 3 bathroom apartment for the price of a 1 bd. May cost a bit more than the airport hotels though, but nicer.

enjoy LTB
