Driving a motorhome on the Glenorchy-Paradise Road

Hi there, can anyone tell me if it is okay to drive a 4-berth motorhome on the Paradise Road to Chinamans Bluff? The rental company has not prohibited us from driving on the road and I notice that DOC allows self-contained vehicles to stay at both Diamond Lake and Chinamans Bluff. However, I have read/heard others saying it is difficult. We hope to travel on the road in early December and any advice/others' experience of the road would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Check road conditions in Glenorchy before driving further. The road could be rutted or flooded or muddy.

I've only driven a 4WD there, don't know I would want to drive a rented motorhome on the road!

Best of luck :)
