31, Jobless. Any hope of a visa to EU/Turkey/Malayasia?

So I am 31, and since the age of 23 I have had clinical depression, anxiety, and ADHD and my career got spoilt. Now I am starting to learn coding. I am from India and really want to see the outside once. I have land and two flats in my name and dad can pay for my trip. Is there any chance, given my circumstances, to get a tourist visa for EU/ Malayasia/ Japan/ Turkey? Thanks.

Why not? Have you tried to apply for one? This is not an official travel website, it's a peer to peer travel advice. My advice is to start to research such a trip. If you want to go from India to one or more of these destinations, then go to their country websites and look for the qualifications needed, then apply. You may want to think about how to explain being "jobless", since this might come up during the process. Maybe you are in between jobs instead.

unfortunately i never had a job.. i mean i came here cz i am getting lots of conflicting answers, some say without a job its rejection with certainty, some say I just need return tickets, hotel bookings and enough money to travel and it will be a yes, so m totally confused.

Mahboob Islam: Have you spoken to a live travel agent about this? That's my advice. BTW, no one here has professional credentials to tell you a visa will or will not be approved. All we can do is offer advice and opinions.

Mahboob, you can currently travel visa free for 60 days to Thailand as a citizen of India. Get yourself a passport. You might need to show the Thai authorities that you have at least 20,000 Thai baht with you but that shouldn't be an issue. Just buy a return ticket for no more than 60 days. You don't even need visa on arrival. You don't need any proof of income or employment.

welcome

as stated, figure out where you want to go, the requirement for you and then start doing whats needed to make it happen.

If you need any VISA and or Vaccinations, you can also start on those too.

with regards to your work status, it may not be a "job" they are looking for but a bank account balance to show you can be self sufficient and not a financial burden on them.

good luck

If the OP wants to travel to the US on a visitor's (nonimmigrant) B2 visa, I believe he would need to supply a letter from his current employer, plus proof of funds. However, he hasn't stated an interest in visiting the US.

In past employment roles, I've had to submit a letter of introduction (LOI) and business justification to immigrations or when applying for a visa fully documenting my business needs. But as a US citizen, never for EU countries, Turkey, or Malaysia. I believe students also need to provide LOI's for some countries. In the end, the immigrations officer may ask questions as they please, and does have authority to reject or prolong screening.

Hello Mahboob and welcome to the solo forum.

As fellow travellers here have said, we are not immigration experts, and whatever your own government has negotiated with the individual nations you are considering, requires further research on your part.

Each of the destinations you’re contemplating has its own tourism website which will provide you with information about entry conditions and criteria.

I do however wonder why you are considering a long haul solo trip in the first place. Have you ever planned, researched and booked a solo trip within India?

I say this because solo travel isn’t for everyone. For one thing,it does require a degree of confidence which is usually gained by actual experience.

.I’m really not trying to undermine your intentions, but you’d gain so much by researching, budgeting ,booking and all the other myriad of travelling skills with an initial trip closer to home.
