What is the best way to visit the Grand Canyon for a solo traveler from Dallas, TX / DFW airport without driving? The time frame is around 7 days in October-November 2024. Thank you!
Here is a map of Amtrak, the American train network.

It certainly is possible to get from Dallas to Flagstaff for the Grand Canyon by train and that is the way I would do it.
However, I have little doubt that it is possible to fly from Dallas to Flagstaff.
A direct flight comes up at around £290 for American Airlines by American Eagle. ($379). It takes about 1 1/2 hours, plus the time to get to the airport 2 hours ahead.
From Flagstaff, there will be coach tours (busses) that will take you to the South rim.
Google is your friend.
You could also ask how to get from Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon on the Flagstaff Tripadvisor Forum or there is probably a grand Canyon Forum.

What are forum guidelines?Personally, I'd fly into Las Vegas. Many more flight options. There are some coach tours from there to the Grand Canyon as well as just coach transfers. As noted, in addition to Las Vegas, various cities in Arizona can also be gateways to the Grand Canyon area. Sedona and Phoenix. Do you want to spend 7 days actually there? Depending on your overall plan, there are a lot of other cool places near those gateways. For example, Hoover Dam in Las Vegas area.

Cool! There are so many Top Questions to read there, too!
I like the fly into Las Vegas idea. A few years ago we did a great combo bus and flight day trip to the canyon. It was really good.
Plus it is Las Vegas baby, Las Vegas.

LOL - the answer is always Vegas Baby!!!
There are lots of tours from Vegas. I've done the GC from there by sir and by bus.
Like others here, we flew into Las Vegas and booked a day trip (by plane) to the Grand Canyon. We booked once we arrived but you might prefer the certainty of booking in advance. There were lots of options.

I would definitely NOT advise flying into Vegas! From Vegas to the South Rim is a 4 hour drive and there's not any public transportation really, you are forced to join a giant guided bus tour and you won't have any time to enjoy the canyon because of that drive. And most Vegas guided day trips don't even go to the South Rim, they go to the West Rim which is not the national park, it's Havasupai and Hualapai land.
If you go from Flagstaff to the South Rim, once you're there you can use the free park shuttles and explore everything on foot, you don't need a car at all once you're there. If you're interested in hiking or spending multiple days, definitely approach from Flagstaff.
If you need more info I wrote about all these options here, I used to work at the Grand Canyon: https://thedetoureffect.com/blog/grand-canyon-trip-planning/
